FAQs — Home Elderly Care & Caregiver Placement

How to safely choose a home elderly caregiver?

You should choose a company that screens for criminal backgrounds. Caregivers must pass standard training courses, possess valid certificates, and be supervised by a team of nurses or doctors. KIN HomeCare strictly screens every NA, provides additional training, and assigns case managers to continuously monitor quality.

What can a Nursing Assistant (NA) do?

NAs assist with daily routines (bathing, dressing, feeding, changing diapers), monitor vital signs, prevent falls, stimulate the brain with activities, administer medications on time, and provide daily condition reports. However, NAs cannot perform medical procedures like injections or changing catheters, which is the duty of a registered nurse.

What is the difference between an NA and a Nurse?

NAs complete a 420-hour course focusing on daily routines and monitoring. Registered nurses have a Bachelor's degree and can perform medical procedures like injections, catheter changes, and suctioning. The general elderly are well-suited for NAs, while patients requiring medical procedures should opt for a nurse. KIN offers free assessments to help you decide. See Private Home Nurse Services.

How much does caregiver placement cost?

Service fees depend on the format (daily, weekly, monthly), level of care, and number of hours. Inquire about exact pricing directly via LINE @Kinrehab or call 061-881-9399. Our team will recommend the most suitable package for you.

What areas do you serve?

We cover all districts across Bangkok and its vicinity, including Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Pattaya, Chonburi, and Rayong. If you reside in other areas, please feel free to inquire.

Can you care for bedridden, tracheostomy, or feeding tube patients?

NAs can handle basic bedridden care such as repositioning and feeding. However, for patients with a tracheostomy or feeding tube, a Registered Nurse is required to co-manage the care. KIN can arrange a joint team of NAs and nurses. See Private Home Nurse Services.

If unsatisfied, can we change the caregiver?

Yes, if the service user or family is unsatisfied, you can notify us to change the NA. KIN will promptly find a suitable replacement at no additional cost.
