Interviewer: We are honored to welcome our guest, Ms. Noppawan Smithinan, also known as Ms. Jub. Hello.
Ms. Noppawan : Hello.
Interviewer: How did you learn about our KIN center?
Ms. Noppawan: I searched on Google. At that time, Mr. Yothin was still in the hospital, and after his discharge, we needed to find a place that could care for him and provide physical rehabilitation. I searched on Google, visited the Facebook page, watched videos about the care services, and then contacted the center for more information.
Interviewer: Why did you choose to use the services here?
Ms. Noppawan: After reviewing several aspects, I felt that this center appeared professional and likely had a well-organized care system. I saw that there was a medical clinic offering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). After visiting the center, I felt that the facility and working processes followed appropriate standards. Another important advantage was that it was close to our home.
Interviewer: After choosing our center’s services, what expectations did you have?
Ms. Noppawan: We had high expectations because we could see that the team was professional. We decided to provide him with a comprehensive rehabilitation program, including the full TMS course, intensive physical therapy, and daily occupational therapy. I believed that within three months, Mr. Yo would regain enough independence to perform some daily activities. We hoped to bring him home, where I would then be able to provide some of his care myself.
Interviewer: Based on those expectations, how satisfied are you with Mr. Yo’s progress so far?
Ms. Noppawan: I am very satisfied. The care here is delivered through teamwork. The physical therapy team provides excellent care and establishes both short-term and long-term goals. His condition is evaluated every week, and the team communicates with one another about his progress. The caregivers then look after Mr. Yo according to the rehabilitation team’s recommendations. I am very impressed by the teamwork. The caregivers also take excellent care of him and show the same attentiveness they would give to an older family member. I truly appreciate that.
I also feel confident in the center’s COVID-19 prevention and infection-control system.
Interviewer: The center has clear preventive measures, correct?
Ms. Noppawan: Regarding his progress, when Mr. Yo first left the hospital, he could not drink water independently, his speech was unclear, and he could not use the left side of his body at all. After approximately three weeks—and in fact, by the second week—he could already scoop food and eat independently, smoothly, and safely.
Interviewer: That is excellent.
Ms. Noppawan: When he left the hospital, he had only been able to eat for one day, and it was not yet very safe. He had also been unable to drink water, but later he could drink independently, and his speech became clearer. After almost one month, he began moving his fingers. A little over a month after he arrived, he could sit up and stand. When I saw that, I was amazed by how quickly he had progressed. The staff also sent me a video of him walking with a cane. Seeing that gave me so much encouragement. I felt extremely pleased with his progress.
Interviewer: These are the aspects of KIN that impressed you.
Ms. Noppawan: Yes, and I have recommended the center to my friends as well.
Interviewer: That is wonderful. These are Ms. Jub’s feelings and opinions regarding the services. On behalf of our team, we sincerely thank you for trusting us to care for your loved one. We are delighted to have helped the person you love progress toward returning home and resuming everyday life. Thank you very much.
