"Strengthening Academic Synergy: Kin Rehabilitation & Homecare and Kin Origin Healthcare Sign an Academic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with General Parinya Thawonchayakan, Director of the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program"
The Health Promotion and Prevention programme is an executive-level course designed to develop knowledge and skills in health promotion and disease prevention. Its goal is to enable participants to apply proactive healthcare approaches at individual, community, and organisational levels. The programme emphasises health leadership development so that executives can create effective health policies and drive tangible health-promotion initiatives within organisations and society. It combines theoretical and practical learning to prepare participants for comprehensive health planning and implementation.
An important component of the programme is study visits to healthcare facilities, elderly care centres, and wellness centres, as follows:
- Hospital Study Visit
Participants in the executive programme have the opportunity to study hospital healthcare systems, with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention in real clinical settings. They learn about hospital health management, preventive patient care, and the use of medical technology to support treatment. They also observe how healthcare professionals promote community-level patient health and work to prevent chronic diseases over the long term.
- Study Visit to anElderly Care Centre
Participants learn about elderly healthcare in a comprehensive care setting, covering both prevention and management of conditions commonly found among older adults, such as chronic disease, dementia, and physical rehabilitation after illness. They also learn how to develop personalised care programmes and provide comprehensive physical, psychological, and emotional support to improve older adults’ quality of life.
- Wellness Centre Study Visit
A wellness-centre visit allows participants to experience holistic health-promotion approaches. These centres focus on proactive health promotion to prevent disease and on restoring physical and mental well-being through approaches such as appropriate exercise, nutrition counselling, natural therapies, and mental-health support. Participants learn how to design wellness programmes covering disease prevention, chronic-condition management, functional rehabilitation, and mental healthcare.
Study visits to each type of facility are an important part of the executive programme. They help participants understand real-world operations and apply the knowledge gained to strengthen health promotion and disease prevention in their communities and organisations.
